Ganpati festival is celebrated with much fanfare and dedication across the country according to the culture prevailing in the country. This is actually the celebration of Lord Ganesha and it is also known as Vinayak Chaturthi. One of the most salient sights of this astonishing festivals is the Ganesh idols made by the awe-inspiring artisans. The celebration continues till 10 days and on the 11th day, it comes to end and take the statue for immersion (visarjan). This again is the sight to behold as the procession which is one of the most colorful and lively things you will experience or see. There are people dancing and singing enclosed in colorful gulal and leading the precession with fanfare. The idols of deity then immense in the river to signify his journey towards Kailash but the chanting of “Ganpati Bappa Moriya” stay with us till the next when the same day comes.
